Hi gals~ I need to figure out how to use my new toy, a Canon SLR camera. I've researched some classes through Akron University and Cleveland Photographic Society and found some evening beginner through intermediate classes between $60-150... does anyone have any suggestions for other options on how to get acquainted with my new friend?

Sweet! An evening class would definitely help I'm sure. But, the only way that I really get to know my technical stuff is just to dive in and start using it. Right now I'm learning Fireworks that way. I've put it off, and finally, I said, I can learn this. I'm not much of a book learner. School of hard knocks is the only way for me. : )

Where did you buy it? Some places like camera stores have photo classes. The only place I know of that has classes you can sign up for is Dodds Camera in Fairlawn.
I totally agree with Karen though, I usually just get creative with whatever I am trying to learn.
Maybe you could find some tutorials online too.?
